The President of India, in exercise of powers under Article 223 of the Constitution, has appointed Justice Vibhu Bakhru as the Acting Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court.

This appointment follows Chief Justice Manmohan's elevation to the Supreme Court of India.

Justice Vibhu Bakhru, currently serving as a judge in the Delhi High Court, will assume his new responsibilities from the date Chief Justice Manmohan relinquishes his office.
