The Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa (BCMG) will be organizing a grand felicitation ceremony in honour of Hon’ble Justice Shri. Bhushan R. Gavai, Chief Justice of India, on Sunday, 18th May 2025 at 11:00 a.m., at Yogi Sabhagruh, Swami Narayan Mandir, Dadar (East), Mumbai.

The felicitation will be held in conjunction with the “State Lawyer’s Conference – Mumbai 2025”, which will be based on the theme:

“75 Years of Glorious Heritage of Constitutional Justice in India”.

The event will be presided over by Hon’ble Justice Alok Aradhe, Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court, who will serve as Chairman of the Function. A number of eminent dignitaries from the Indian judiciary will grace the occasion, including:

The event is being organized under the leadership of Adv. Vitthal B. Konde-Deshmukh, Chairman, BCMG and Chief Convenor, State Lawyer’s Conference, along with Adv. Amol S. Sawant (Vice-Chairman, BCMG) and Adv. Ashish P. Deshmukh (Member, Bar Council of India), who are serving as Co-Convenors.

The felicitation of Hon’ble Justice Gavai, who hails from Maharashtra, marks a moment of pride for the legal fraternity in the state and is being seen as a historic occasion to commemorate his elevation as the Chief Justice of India.
