Judge Goes Viral for Savagely Putting Rioters in Their Place

Justice Vikram Nath, a judge of the Supreme Court of India, has been nominated by the President of India as the Executive Chairperson of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), marking an important appointment in the country’s legal administration. The nomination takes effect from November 24, 2025, following the official notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice.

In its announcement, the Ministry stated that the President of India made the appointment by exercising powers conferred under Section 3(2)(b) of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987. The legal fraternity has welcomed the move, noting that this nomination follows the established convention of appointing the second senior-most judge of the Supreme Court to head NALSA, an institution that plays a pivotal role in ensuring access to justice for all, particularly the underprivileged sections of society.
