From Removal Allegations to Regret: Bar President Retracts Controversial Claim
A letter expressing regret has been penned by the President of the Madhya Pradesh High Court Bar Association, Advocate Dhanya Kumar Jain, to Chief Justice Suresh Kumar Kait. The letter pertains to a complaint by the Bar President last month to the Chief Justice of India (CJI), seeking an inquiry into the alleged removal of a Hanuman temple from the official residence of the Chief Justice of the High Court.

This letter of regret arises out of a letter addressed (dated December 22) to CJI, Justice BR Gavai, PM Narendra Modi, and President Droupadi Murmu by the Bar President alleging that a temple had been removed from the CJ's residence at the behest of Chief Justice Kaith and called for legal actions for such removal.
Consequently, the letter attracted widespread media coverage. Addressing such allegaitions, both the Madhya Pradesh High Court administration and the State Government's Public Works Department (PWD) clarified that no such temple ever existed in the official residence of the Chief Justice.
Following the clarification, the Bar President has now backtracked, expressing regret over his previous letter and emphasised that no such incident would occur again from his side in the future.
