The Ministry of Law & Justice, Department of Justice, issued two notifications dated 14th January 2025, under clause (1) of Article 222 of the Constitution of India. The President of India, in consultation with the Chief Justice of India, has approved the transfer of:

• Justice D.K. Upadhyaya as Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court
• Justice Alok Aradhe as Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court.

Both Justices have been directed to assume their respective offices promptly, ensuring a seamless transition in the judiciary's administrative hierarchy.
