Supreme Court Collegium Recommends Transfer of Seven High Court Judges

In a significant move aimed at fostering greater inclusivity and diversity within the judiciary, the Supreme Court Collegium in a meeting on 15th April, 2025 and 19th April, 2025, has proposed the transfer of seven judges across various High Courts.

Notably, four of the recommended transfers involve judges currently serving in the Karnataka High Court. This decision is also intended to bolster the quality and efficiency of judicial administration in the country.

The recommended transfers are as follows:


Justice Hemant Chandangoudar – Proposed to be moved from the Karnataka High Court to Madras High Court.
 

Justice Krishnan Natarajan– Recommended for transfer from the Karnataka High Court to Kerala High Court.
 

Justice Neranahalli Srinivasan Sanjay Gowda – To be shifted from the Karnataka High Court to Gujarat High Court.
 

Justice Ms. Perugu Sree Sudha– Suggested transfer from the Telangana High Court to Karnataka High Court.
 

Justice Kasoju Surendhar @ K. Surender – Proposed movement from the Telangana High Court to Madras High Court.
 

Justice Dr. Kumbhajadala Manmadha Rao– Recommended transfer from the Andhra Pradesh High Court to Karnataka High Court.
 

Justice Dixit Krishna Shripad– To be relocated from the Karnataka High Court to Orissa High Court.
