Judge Goes Viral for Savagely Putting Rioters in Their Place

Amid worsening air pollution in Delhi, Justice PS Narasimha of the Supreme Court has urged lawyers to switch to virtual appearances during mentioning rounds, for health and safety. He advised using virtual hearing facilities to reduce health risks caused by the polluted air. The concern was evident in the courtroom, where many lawyers were seen wearing masks as a precaution.

When Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal pointed out that many lawyers were wearing masks in court, Justice Narasimha warned that masks alone might not offer enough protection, stressing that the toxic air could cause lasting harm. The exchange reflected the bench’s serious concern about the worsening air quality and its effect on court proceedings.
