Judge Goes Viral for Savagely Putting Rioters in Their Place
Moving forward with the construction of the new integrated Bombay High Court complex in Bandra, the state government has approved ₹85.2 crore for appointing a project management consultant and ₹38.7 crore for hiring an architect. Spread across 30.2 acres, the project has been declared of vital importance, with an estimated cost of ₹2,625 crore.
The approvals came from a high-power committee led by Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik. As per resolutions issued by the law and judiciary department, both appointments will require the Bombay High Court’s approval. Additionally, the court will oversee the project's execution, with regular progress reports to be submitted.
The architect will be responsible for conducting surveys and investigations, architectural layouts, designing facades and elevations, and handling internal space and structural planning. Their role also includes obtaining necessary approvals, coordinating with various departments, integrating essential services into construction drawings, creating 3D visualizations and walk-throughs, landscaping, and securing the occupancy certificate.
On the other hand, the project management consultant will focus on drafting tenders, analyzing the socio-economic impact of the project, evaluating bidders, overseeing structural design, and ensuring all necessary permissions are in place.
With these approvals in place, the project is set to advance under the direct supervision of the Bombay High Court.
