Bombay High Court's Administration Rectifies Lapse of Not Inviting Lawyers, Litigants for Groundbreaking Ceremony of New HC Complex

Following the publication of a story on Lawfultalks.net that highlighted the issue of secrecy with regard to the Ground Breaking Ceremony of the Bombay High Court's New Complex at Bandra on Monday i.e., September 23, 2024, the Bombay High Court administration swiftly took action.

Lawfultalks.net had reported in the morning:

“…Why did the High Court administration keep the 'Ground Breaking Ceremony' shrouded in mystery? There was no information available for lawyers and the general public. No notice about the same is uploaded on the website.”

After publication of this story, the Bombay High Court Administration posted an official invitation on the High Court’s website, confirming the details of the event:

"Members of the Bar, litigants, various stakeholders, and the public are cordially invited to witness the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Proposed New High Court Complex, virtually, by logging into the link below. The ceremony is scheduled to be held on September 23, 2024, at 1735 hours... The ceremony will be live-streamed through the official YouTube channel of the Bombay High Court. Please join us through the link provided below."

Upon reading the story on Lawfultalks.net, a former Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court commented that this was, "too bad."
