Three Kerala High Court judges narrowly escaped a violent terror attack recently in Pahalgam on April 22, that claimed 28 lives and left many injured.

Justice Anil K Narendran, Justice G Girish, and Justice PG Ajithkumar and their families were lucky to have departed Pahalgam just before the strike.

The judges had been visiting Jammu and Kashmir since April 17 and had stayed in Pahalgam on April 21. They left for Srinagar around 9:30 AM on April 22 and got there by noon, just hours before the attack occurred.

Following reports of their presence in the region, concerns arose in legal circles.

However, it was later confirmed that the judges and their families had already departed Pahalgam and were safe.
