In a significant development, the Supreme Court Collegium, in its meeting held on 19th August 2025, approved the proposal for the elevation of 14 Advocates as Judges of the High Court of Bombay.

The following names have been approved by the Collegium for appointment:

• Shri Rajnish Ratnakar Vyas
• Shri Raj Damodar Wakode
• Shri Nandesh Shankarrao Deshpande
• Shri Amit Satyavan Jamsandekar
• Shri Ashish Sahadev Chavan
• Mrs. Vaishali Nimbajirao Patil-Jadhav
• Shri Abasaheb Dharmaji Shinde
• Shri Farhan Parvez Dubash

With the clearance of these 14 more names, the Bombay High Court is set to see a significant increase in its judicial strength ensuring faster delivery of justice.
