Judge Goes Viral for Savagely Putting Rioters in Their Place
On January 29,2025 a stampede broke out in the Sangam area of Maha Kumbh, where, as per reports, 30 people have died and over 60 were injured. In light of this tragic incident, a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking directions to all State Governments to establish safety measures and regulatory guidelines for pilgrims traveling nationwide.
The PIL filed by advocate Vishal Tiwari also seeks arrangements for announcements and display boards with directions, road signs, and other essential information in multiple languages to ensure that people from different States can navigate easily and receive assistance when needed. Additionally, the Petitioner has called for action against the authorities and officials responsible for the negligence that resulted in the stampede.
