In a latest development, the Supreme Court Collegium, via three resolutions dated 7th January 2025, passed the following recommendations:

• Appointment of Justice K. Vinod Chandran, Chief Justice of High Court of Patna to be elevated as a judge of the Supreme Court of India.
• Transfer of Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya, Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court, to be Chief Justice of High Court of Delhi.
• Transfer of Justice Alok Aradhe, Chief Justice of the High Court of Telangana, to be Chief Justice of High Court of Bombay.
• Approving the proposal for the appointment of Justice Kardak Ete and Justice Mridul Kumar Kalita, currently additional judges, as permanent judges of the High Court of Gauhati.
