Judge Goes Viral for Savagely Putting Rioters in Their Place

While adjourning the matter after it’s hearing today, the Karnataka High Court has pertinently observed that prima facie, the essential elements of the offence of abetment of suicide appeared to be present in the First Information Report (FIR).

Justice S.R. Krishna Kumar, while hearing the plea to quash the First Information Report (FIR) filed by Nikita Singhania, wife of the deceased Bangalore techie Atul Subash, asked the prosecution to submit details of the probe conducted so far and the material collected.
The plea comes after Nikita Singhania was granted interim bail by the Sessions Court on 04/01/2025.The said FIR was registered after the suicide of Atul Subash, who also left a 24-page suicide note alleging his wife, in-laws, and the Principal Judge, Family Court Jaunpur, of harassment causing nationwide outrage.
