Fixing the Faultlines: Ekam Nyaay Dialogue Mumbai to Address Legal Misuse and Push Fair Reforms

Ekam Nyaay Foundation is a Gurugram-based NGO, dedicated to promoting gender equality, advocating for gender-neutral laws, and supporting men and their families against false accusations, domestic abuse, and societal injustice.

As part of its efforts, it is organising the Ekam Nyay Dialogue– Mumbai, which will focus on important discussions about improving India’s justice system. The discussions will cover issues such as gender-neutral laws, misuse of legal provisions, and the need for fair and balanced reforms.

The event will be held on May 10 at the Nehru Centre in Worli from 2:30 PM. It will begin with a practical workshop on how to deal with false accusations. After that, there will be discussions on topics such as child custody based on the child’s welfare, how consensual relationships sometimes turn into legal disputes, the role of media and films in shaping gender issues, and the broader need for fairness and accountability in law.

The panel will include former Bombay High Court judges Justice Roshan Dalvi and Justice Sadhana Jadhav, former DIG of Mumbai Police Sunil Paraskar, advocates Abha Singh and Amit Lakhani, mental health experts Dr. Kersi Chavda and Dr. Mithun Kherde, Bamboo Tree Organisation founder Dr. Rakesh Kapur, activist Amit Deshpande, filmmakers Ashoke Pandit and Apurva Asrani, influencer Nikita Thakur, and other experts from law, police, and related fields.
