Senior Advocate Anil Singh has been appointed as Additional Solicitor General (ASG) of India for the Bombay High Court by the Central Government.
The appointment comes in the wake of Senior Advocate Devang Vyas's resignation in January 2025. Vyas, who served as ASG of Gujarat and Bombay High Court, stepped down to return to private practice.
Being no stranger to the ASG role, Senior Adv Singh previously served as ASG from 2014 until July 2023, having been reappointed in 2017 and again in 2020. After his last tenure, he chose not to seek an extension and briefly resumed private practice.
