Allahabad HC Sets Aside Afzal Ansari's Conviction, Allows Him to Continue as MP
In response to concerns raised by the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), the Supreme Court has decided to restrict the entry of law interns on miscellaneous days- namely Monday, Tuesdays, and Fridays.
This decision, communicated through the Assistant Registrar, follows a letter from the SCBA dated July 23, highlighting issues such as overcrowding in courtrooms, corridors, libraries, and waiting areas caused by the large presence of interns.
The SCBA particularly noted that interns often occupy seats meant for lawyers and do not vacate them when requested, creating inconvenience for practicing advocates, including Senior Advocates.
Taking note of the concerns raised, the Supreme Court has agreed to limit intern access on the busiest days but will continue to allow their presence on regular working days that is Wednesdays and Thursdays.
