Allahabad HC Sets Aside Afzal Ansari's Conviction, Allows Him to Continue as MP

The Bombay High Court website has been facing technical problems for a long time, causing serious inconvenience to lawyers and litigants. Bombay Bar Association (BBA) Secretary Naushad Engineer informed that the Association has made a representation to the Acting Chief Justice regarding the issue.

The Association said it had received several complaints about the poor and unreliable functioning of the Bombay High Court’s official website bombayhighcourt.gov.in for accessing case status, cause lists, court orders, and other information relating to the Bombay High Court.
The Association also said that it had submitted a representation to the Acting Chief Justice, asking for immediate steps to solve the problems faced by lawyers and litigants in accessing important court services. It also said it had been informed that the issue was under consideration and expressed hope that it would be resolved soon.
In a later update, the Bombay Bar Association informed its members that the technical teams of the Bombay High Court and the Central Project Coordinator are working to restore the website.
However, it said the process is likely to take a few more days. Until the official website becomes fully functional, advocates and litigants have been advised to use the alternate e-Courts portal, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in, to access case status, cause lists, court orders, and other information related to the Bombay High Court.
The repeated technical problems with the website have upset many lawyers. According to advocates, the website has been facing problems for a long time. They say it often does not open at all or stops working during court hours. As a result, lawyers and litigants are unable to see the daily board, get details of listed matters, or download court orders.
The issue has also raised several questions among lawyers. Many advocates have asked why the earlier website, which they believe worked well, was replaced with a new website that continues to face technical problems. They have also asked the Court’s administration whether any officers have been held responsible for these problems and what steps have been taken to fix them.
Among the concerns raised by advocates are:
The official website has not been working properly for a long time. This has repeatedly caused inconvenience to lawyers and litigants who use it to access the daily board, court orders, and other important court information.
Members of the Bar are increasingly unhappy with the continuing technical problems. They say that even after repeated complaints, no permanent solution has been provided within a fixed time.
Many advocates have questioned why the earlier website, which they believe worked well, was replaced with a new website that continues to face technical problems.
Lawyers have also sought clarity on the steps taken before the new website was launched. They have asked whether proper testing was carried out and whether any action has been taken against those responsible for the current situation.
